With her eyes closed, Gaby began counting to ten, until she could find the wavering courage to take those first steps into the horrors that had consumed the world around her. The outbreak, though fatal, had only begun to ravage the city with its power, and the infection had only just begun to spread. It was beautiful..in its own way, of course, but...beautiful. The breed of a new world was burning before her with its flame ignited by the one and only Albert Wesker, whom stood lingering by her side as she gazed across the blood stained horizon.
"At first, you will see only the shattered remains of humanity-" Albert said, clenching a fist as a comparison to the crumbling city. "But once you see the misery of sin burning away from these wretches, it is perfectly clear just how divine the T-Virus is! Can you see it, dear? Do you see the beauty?"
A gentle hand touched to her bare shoulder as Gaby turned her gaze to Albert, his thin blonde hair gelled back nicely, and his smile broad as he beamed over his work. She'd never seen him so happy; It had finally paid off to see all their efforts perform such a marvelous task. It was then that gaby gave a solid nod, and took his hand into her own.
"I see the innocence of the world revealing itself through the ashes as we speak, Albert."
It was the time of awakening for, not just one city, but the entire world! It was time for the rebirth of mankind, and the chance to improve an imperfect race had risen. Albert was no mad man as people made him out to be, no, he was ethical, and did only what was right to save the world, and Gaby was sworn to stay forever by his side. She took an oath to never leave him, and he had vowed the same. With the city falling apart at their gaze, she knew this washer first demonstration of such an oath.
"The time has come to see our new world." Wesker said leading her down the stairs of the bridge as he dodged rubble easily. Gaby found it just as simple with her quick movements and jumps equally matching her lover's. "We must move quickly, dear. Puntuality is key, and time shall be our lock."
"Why must we move fast?" She questioned, sending him into a stop. She rested a hand on the taller man's shoulder soothingly, only to be given a nudge forward. She wondered about him sometimes, though kept his pace over the mass of dead, rotting corpses that held no traces of life in their grey, torn flesh. She pondered for a moment, and thought about her poor sister out in the burning city. Was she still alive? Was she in the city at all since all evacs had been prohibited due to quarantine.
The haze of smoke clouded the cracking streets, disguising sinkholes, and making the chalky dead become an ashy black. she saw Albert take a flying leap across the chasm of concrete and fire, and followed him as he insisted.

Crossing chasms, dodging the undead, stepping across mangled corpses, and now climbing the treacherous cliffside with Gaby's fingertips barely able to grasp the rocky ledges from the dew drops. Dew drops? Yes, it was morning, despite the black sky, and ominous clouds overhanging the city, she could feel that morning air on her bare arms and shoulders. Perhaps wearing that nice dress for Albert hadn't been the most practical idea, but he certainly hadn't complained. He complimented her neat figure-the glossy eyes that beamed at him, and the silky brown hair that gave its all to shimmer and show off. She had spent hours doing it, and hoped he wouldn't notice the frizziness from such a work out. The dress too had been ruined, well, spotted with dirt and dust, but the dark blue fabric was flawed.
Albert offered her a hand upon reaching for the last ledge above, and she accepted it graciously. Her body was hauled up with both the force of his pull, and the quick kick off from her powerful legs. The rocky cliff left her knees scratched and dirty with the complicated climb almost painful though it was only a brisk workout for her. She managed to stand without his help as he turned to face the dark clouds quietly.
"Is it not lovely?" He said aloud as she stood at his side, not sure if he meant the city below, or the drab surroundings.
    "The city?"
He gave his cruel laugh, though it was meant to be calming. "No, silly thing. The sunrise-it has begun. Take a look." He pointed to the seperating clouds, which parted away to reveal the gleaming sunlight they withheld, and Gaby felt her heart skip a beat. it really was beautiful-beautiful enough to make her heart flutter as the lights caught the reflection on Albert's shades. His red eyes stood out now, and she found herself staring into their endless beauty. What had once been blue was now overtaken by scarlet blood drops.
"Nothing can be more beautiful than the eyes of a god."
Wesker turned to face his new queen with his shades removed, tossed aside onto the rock as he took her into his muscular arms, and gazed down into the eyes of a future queen. A queen that would surpass all others-to rule a kingdom of the new world by his side, and be as mighty as the king at his throne.
"And there shall be nothing to surpass the beauty of such a queen," He said, sending waves of emotion bursting through her veins. "Let the world kneel before the monarchs of the new race, my love."
And through the shady skies, sunlight seemed to glimmer across the frosted rocks of the cliff with the rays catching only a glimpse of a divine kiss before the clouds yet again sealed out the heavenly scene.
A request done for :icongabytolija:
I really enjoyed the divine description in this fanfiction, but it did come out a little short. If this isn't what you wanted Gaby, I can gladly make you a new one!
The point is, I had fun writing it!
