Literature Text

Lae gasped upon stumbling into a tall, eerie figure as he loomed overtop the fifteen-year-old with narrowed, red eyes that glared over the collar of his military coat. He had white hair that rested along his forehead, even lying slightly over the bridge of his nose, but his hair was not white with age as far as she could tell. They called him Hans; if they ever called him anything else it was Captain, but Lae rarely met the man in her path during the day. She admitted that she feared him, well, she feared his bulk. Hans was a hefty man with not a single word ready to be spoken on his lips. Yes, he was mute, and had never attempted to speak a word in his lifetime.
And he tilted his military hat closer to his shady face with a nod as Captain side-stepped her to skulk away with heavy footsteps. That guy gave her the creeps.
“Ah, Lae Richardson, I assume.” Said a wispy, German voice from the doorway. She hadn’t even heard the sound of the automatic door sliding open. “Warrant officer Schrodinger did speak of your arrival. I must say, you are a short one, fraulein.”
Lae tried to find her voice, when being faced by the stout, blonde commander Schrodinger had mentioned vaguely upon explaining, spilling, the truth of his existence. Just like the others, the Major was a Nazi, and probably a little out of his mind. He appeared to smile devilishly at her; his eyes became squinted behind the round lenses of his wire frame glasses. “Yes, he told me to wait here for you.”
Her British accent left him awe-struck, and he growled in his throat. “That accent-you’re from London, aren’t you?” He snapped. “Aren’t you?”
“Yes, though I must say that you aren’t so secure with your plans are you Major?”
The Major took a glance over Lae with a snort. “Our business does not concern you, fraulein. You see, Officer Schrodinger was telling us all about your abilities. We were told you were a good, how you say, actor. Good with becoming those you are not.”
She froze; how did he know she was an actor? Well, Lae wasn’t really an actor, although; she had spent some time practicing new accents online, and reading up on the histories of foreign countries she had always been curious about.
“I do know my way around an accent, sir, but-I demand to know what is going on here! Why was I brought here to South America by force, and-“
There was a thud behind her that made her jump out of her skin. Hans now stood nearby with a glare directed down at her cowering form. The Major just laughed as he eased himself into the head chair that could be seen by all the soldiers beyond the automatic door. It was clear that she couldn’t duck his rules, while under the strict supervision of the Captain.
“I’m afraid you’ll have to be patient.” Major insisted with a crooked smirk. “The Doctor is busy with some minor surgery, and he won’t be able to see you, until this afternoon.” Lae gasped, preparing herself to flee-bolting was all she could think of doing. But the auto door slid open with a groan, and a familiar face came into her frantic view.
Schrodinger was a young boy, his spunky smile comforting to the distraught victim as he pranced in the room proudly, and his adorable cat ears twitched in the delicate breeze that ran through his fluffy, blonde hair with ease. Lae saw his pink eyes flash once to her with no sense of sympathy, yet he already seemed so composed. How was she sure he was trustworthy-he’d forced her into South America, like she was his captive, and left her on a Nazi ship surrounded by freaks!
“Major, I see you’ve met meine new accomplice. Worth the trouble, eh, Major?”
Not even his lovable accent could bail him out of trouble this time, and his commander gave him a sneer. “Do you have even the slightest idea how close this could have been to giving us away? Officer Schrodinger, I would have thought you were wiser than such.” Schrodinger sprung forward in a bounce with his arms giving an honorable bow, but his smile never left.
“No, no, my Major!” He exclaimed. “She knows all about us-she knows everything about the war, and what we are! I see her abilities, and she is here by her own will.” As he referred to the war, Lae gasped. He was speaking of World War 2; she’d thought he had only been fooling around when he was asking her about all that Nazi stuff. So, he was really a Nazi, just like the others?
“I have nothing to do with Nazis! I’m fifteen!” Lae blurted as Schrodinger gave a small, raspy laugh. “It’s not funny-what is all this?”
“Anyway, I have come to convey a message from the Doctor.” Her captor continued as his ears wiggled atop his head. He glanced over his shoulder at her for a second, his glistening eyes blinking as her heart fluttered, he had such lovely eyes for a Nazi, though Lae could no longer trust him. Schrodinger was only fifteen; the fact that he was a Nazi left her awe-struck. He looked so innocent for someone who had a goal to kill hundreds of people. “The Doctor is able to work on her immediately, and says the chip is ready to use her in our favor. Quite a convenience, yeah?” The thick accent made Lae giggle, despite the frightening situation; she still couldn’t stop herself from taking swift glances at her crush.
“Excellent,” The Major said, his hands folding tightly. “Get her there.”

“Ah, Warrant Officer Schrodinger,” Major greeted the young male as he slipped into the room quickly on his long legs. He stretched his arms behind his back with a single, sharp tooth protruding from his lips, and offered a bow to his commander. “What brings you here so early?”
Schrodinger smirked as he plopped onto the floor near his Major. “I come to visit you, My Major! Is there a problem?”
“Perhaps not, but I must say it is unlike you-“
And the door opened once more as both males took fast glances at the person who entered. The Major gaped, his eyes widened in shock as he looked over yet another cat-boy that blinked hazily over both his commander and his equal self. They all exchanged glances as the approaching messenger gave a stern look to the seated look-alike by the Major’s chair.
“Major, forgive me for intruding, but it seems we will have to adjust to trickery around here.” The standing Schrodinger said with a laugh. He reached down to give his twin a tap as the resemblance began to morph into a whole new face and body; the cat ears dissolved into a wispy brown hair, and the boyish face became of a cute girls that smiled from ear to ear in joy. “I believe she will be rather useful, yeah?”
    “Indeed, I am very impressed!”
This is a small short story written for my friend :iconvalentinesforever1:
She does not get online here on DA, but she is a very close friend of mine that I see daily in school. We love discussing new ideas together, writing together, and she seems to adopt whatever obsession I may get. ^^; Wow, how she puts up with me is amazing!

Anyway, this is her OC, Lae Richardson, whom is a member of The Milennium, or the nazis. She is befriended by Schrodinger in London while researching on World War II. She finds the cat-boy odd as he talks about seeing the events of the war with his own eyes many times, but she assumes it to be only a joke, until she is kidnapped to join the Nazi group against Hellsing.

:bulletred: Lae is 14 to be paired with Schrodinger, and her power may be of the most useful for my upcoming fan fiction. She can morph herself into anyone else by taking on their body, voice, and some of their thoughts. She may not take on their power, personality, or memories. In the event that she should need to do so, she can also change the appearance of others into the body of someone else to anyone else's eyes but their own. Basically, only people around them will be able to see the transformation, and the person changed will not.
Hellsing belongs to Kohta Hirano~
Lae Richardson belongs to :iconvalentinesforever1:
